- Executive Board
The Executive Board manages the affairs of the Conference. The Board meets in conjunction with the Biennial Conference and usually in April and August between the Conferences. The Board directs the Chair, Executive Director, and Program Chair in the preparation of the programs for each meeting of the Conference. The Board guides fiscal and budgetary matters including conference registration and membership fees. The Board appoints Committees as necessary to accomplish Conference objectives. The Board approves the membership of each Standing Committee, Council Committee, and Biennial Meeting Councils. Board members serve through three Conference for Food Protection Biennial Meetings of the Conference. The Board also has non-voting Ex-Officio members and an elected Chair and Vice-Chair. Standing Committee Chairs attend Executive Board Meetings. The 2023-2025 Executive Board Roster lists the current members and the 2023-2025 Standing Committee Chairs. | The Conference Chair and Vice Chair are selected each Conference cycle from among the Board voting members. executive board memberMembers of the Executive Board (Board) are elected by Conference for Food Protection (CFP) attendees representing each of the constituencies as described in Article IV of the Constitution and Bylaws. The term of office is six (6) years, is effective at the conclusion of the biennial meeting at which elected, and continues through three (3) biennial Meetings. Board members may be appointed by the Conference Chair and approved by the Executive Board to fill the remaining term of a resigning Board member. | executive directorThe Executive Director (Director), along with the Conference Chair (Chair) and the Executive Board (Board), is responsible for conducting the ongoing administrative business of the Conference for Food Protection (CFP) as well as the planning and execution of the biennial meeting as outlined in the Constitution and Bylaws. The Director is an independent contractor subject to the terms of the prevailing service agreement. | executive treasurerThe Executive Treasurer (Treasurer), along with the Conference Chair (Chair), the Executive Director (Director) and the Executive Board (Board), is responsible for conducting the ongoing financial business of the Conference for Food Protection (CFP). The Treasurer is an independent contractor subject to the terms of the prevailing service agreement. | executive assistantThe Executive Assistant (Assistant) works with the Executive Director (Director) to administer the day - to - day business of the Conference for Food Protection (CFP). The Assistant is an independent contractor hired on a part - time basis and is subject to the terms of the prevailing service agreement. |
